Text boxes are useful when you want to include styled text, links, and media to a layout.
Note: See Create/Edit a New Layout for instructions on how to add a message box to a layout.
Edit a Message Box
Mouse over a "text box" to show the "Edit content" button.
Note: You can also check the "Show Hidden Buttons" option at the top of the layout editor to display all buttons on all components.
Click the Edit content to open the "Edit text box dialog"
You can do the following in the "Edit text box dialog":
Add or edit the text, links, or media displayed
Format text with color, size, bold, italics, or underline
Add tabs or bulleted or numbered lists and justify the text to the left, right, or center
Add variable text that is populated with the layout loads like student and course name
Clear all formatting
Click Save to save and display your edits.
You can also resize a "text box" by dragging the "double line" on the right side of the box.
