Introduction to Delphinium Layouts

A Delphinium layout is the framework used to organize Delphinium components in a course. Layouts have two modes: view mode and edit mode.

Layout View Mode

When teachers and students load a Delphinium page in Canvas, they are using the layout's view mode.

Layout Edit Mode

Teachers can use the edit mode to create or edit a Delphinium layout

Delphinium layouts consists of (1) tabs, nested (2) row and (3) column cells, and (4) components. You can see each of these labeled in the images below.
