Gradebook Settings
On the Delphinium page, in Teacher or Periscope View, click the Settings icon in the top right corner of the page
The "Settings" dialog will open.
Click the third tab, Settings, the "Settings" tab will be displayed.
Click the second subtab, Component Settings, the "Component Settings" subtab will be displayed.
Click the Grades tab, the "Grades" tab will be displayed.
Click the Gradebook settings tile. The "Gradebook Settings" will open in a new popup window. The following settings are available:
Currently Hidden Columns
In the Delphinium Gradebook grade list, the Delphinium Configuration AI will hide and show columns depending on which components are used in the course and what data is available. If a column is currently being hidden in the grade list, it will be listed here.
Show/Hide Links to Assignments in Student View
In the student view of the Delphinium gradebook, there is a list of assignments. This setting governs whether the names for those assignments will also be links to those assignments in canvas. If teachers are trying to enforce that students access assignments through a different part of the delphinium layout, they may uncheck this box and the assignment names in the student version of the gradebook will be text only, without links to the assignments.
Show/Hide Analytics Column in Student View
In the student view of the Delphinium gradebook, there are box and whisker plots that show analytics data for every assignment including minimum, maximum, 1st quartile, median, 3rd quartile, and student's relative scores. This data might be confusing for some students, so teachers have the option to hide this column.
Student-Performance Color-Coding
In the Delphinium Gradebook grade list, student progress in a course is indicated by green, yellow, and red "status indicators". The "Student-Performance Color-Coding" value indicates the threshold the Delphinium Gradebook will use to control which color is assigned to students. The default value is 30%.
Students above average will be green
Students between average and the student-performance color-coding percent value below average (e.g., between average and 30% below average) will be yellow
Students below the student-performance color-coding percent value below average (e.g., more that 30% below average) will be red
Note: In addition to the Gradebook settings described above, you will also need to configure start date, end date, and total points in the Course Settings. These values are used by some of the displays in the gradebook like the timeline graph.
